Headleaf is a long (7 mile/11km), narrow (1 mile/1.6km) lake with depths up to 30 feet (9m), with high rock walls, sloping, rocky shorelines, cabbage filled bays and feeder creeks on the east end. A river on the west end is great for canoeing. On any given day Headleaf will generate the kind of Walleye action that causes you to lose track of how many fish your partner has really caught. If it's big Pike you're fishing for, you will be more than happy to hear that Headleaf Lake is a great pike lake.

Headleaf Outpost has the distinction among our lakes as holding the daily record for most fish caught and released by two anglers.

The eight person frame cabin is further evidence that the evolution of the outcamp is occurring. Perched on a high point the cabin provides an expansive view to the southwest and a water view from every window. The screened veranda wraps around two sides of the 32' x 32' (10 x 10m) cabin. The floor plan consists of two bedrooms that each sleep four, a kitchen, a living room and a three piece bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower, and flush toilets. We have added solar lights, AC power outlets, and a solar deep freeze to the solar water package. A fireplace, propane fridge, stove,and radio telephone, is standard. Capacity: 8 people.

The outcamp has three 16' and two 14' aluminum boats with swivel seats & 9.9 h.p. motors. We supply life cushions & jackets (large & extra large only), lander nets, swivel seats, anchors, paddles and mixed gas. There are also two canoes at this lake for your use.

Guests staying at Headleaf Lake Outcamp will drive from Winnipeg to the float facility in Pine Dock, Manitoba (2.5 hours) followed by a direct float plane ride to the outpost.

• There are a propane BBQ and propane fish cooker.
• There is a screened-in fish house with running water and a propane chest freezer.
• Walleye average 16"-21" (41-53cm) and Northern Pike average 28"-37" (71-94cm), with many master anglers.
• There is solar power electicity (110 volt) and a gas generator for backup power.
• There is a wood stove for heat with ample firewood provided.
• Pillows and light blankets are provided. Please bring your own sheets and sleeping bags.
• Canned goods (potatoes, beans, corn, fruit), paper goods, and cleaning supplies are also provided.
• Maximum weight allowed per person is 90 lbs. Excess baggage will be charged $1.50 per lb. subject to space available.
• Rates do not include food or beverages and are in US funds.
