Lewis-Lynx Outcamp is our newest addition. In September 2002, we were authorized to have an 8 person outpost on Lewis Lake, located 18 air miles east of Thunderbird Lodge. The cabin is built on an island just a short distance away from where the Poplar River flows out of Lewis.

Here you will find a beautiful set of rapids and a waterfall that you can hear sitting on the porch of your cabin. At the east end of the lake you can motor 3 miles up the Poplar River and experience some of the best fishing in the area. At the west end is a portage to Lynx Lake where excellent Northern Pike and Walleye fishing is found. This new area is a must for the adventurous fisherman.

Eight person cabin with full kitchen (propane fridge/freezer, gas stove, pots, pans, utensils & dishes), hot/cold running water, indoor bathroom and shower. Capacity: 8 people.

The outcamp has four 14' Lund boats with swivel seats & 9.9 h.p. motors. We supply life cushions & jackets (large & extra large only), lander nets, swivel seats, anchors, paddles and mixed gas. There are also three boats on portage lakes.

Guests staying at Lewis Lake Outcamp will drive from Winnipeg to the float facility in Pine Dock, Manitoba (2.5 hours) followed by a direct float plane ride to the outpost.

• There is radio communication to our base camp.
• Food packages @ $20.00/day, per person are available through Thunderbird
• The cabin is located on an island near the north end of the lake.
• There are a propane BBQ and propane fish cooker.
• There is a conbination fridge/freezer in the kitchen and a chest freezer.
• You can portage into 3 other lakes/rivers where boats and motors are provided (Poplar River and Lynx Lake).

• Walleye average 18"-24" (46-61cm) and Northern Pike average 27"-40" (69-102cm), with many master anglers.
• There is solar power electicity (110 volt) and a gas generator for backup power.
• There is a wood stove for heat with ample firewood provided.
• Pillows and light blankets are provided. Please bring your own sheets and sleeping bags.
• Canned goods (potatoes, beans, corn, fruit), paper goods, and cleaning supplies are also provided.
• Maximum weight allowed per person is 90 lbs. Excess baggage will be charged $1.50 per lb. subject to space available.
• Rates do not include food or beverages and are in US funds.
