Meat Lake is one of the headwater lakes for the Assinka River system and offers extensive cabbage filled bays where the big Pike rule. Walleye are also abundant in these waters and provide many enjoyable shore lunches. Meat Lake is three miles (5km) wide and more than ten miles (16m) long. Depths range from four to twenty five feet (8m) with countless miles of wild shoreline. Numerous other lakes and river systems are connected to Meat Lake. You can portage into three other nearby lakes where boats and motors are provided. Meat Lake provides ideal conditions for big Northerns.

Six person frame cabin with screen porch, full kitchen with electric fridge, gas stove, hot & cold running water, indoor bathroom and shower. Kitchen is fully equipped with all pots, pans, utensils & dishes. Capacity: 6 people.

The outcamp has three 14' Lund boats with swivel seats & 8 h.p. motors. We supply life cushions & jackets (large & extra large only), nets, anchors, paddles and mixed gas. We also have three portage boats available.

Guests staying at Meat Lake Outcamp will drive from Winnipeg to the float facility in Pine Dock, Manitoba (2.5 hours) followed by a direct float plane ride to the outpost.

• We are the only outfitter on the lake.
• Food packages @ $20.00/day, per person are available through Thunderbird
• There are a propane BBQ and propane fish cooker.
• There is a large combination fridge/freezer in the kitchen but no chest freezer.
• Walleye average 16"-21" (41-53cm) and Northern Pike average 27"-37" (69-94cm), with many master anglers.
• There is solar power electicity (110 volt) and a gas generator for backup power.
• There is a wood stove for heat with ample firewood provided.
• Pillows and light blankets are provided. Please bring your own sheets and sleeping bags.
• Canned goods (potatoes, beans, corn, fruit), paper goods, and cleaning supplies are also provided.
• Maximum weight allowed per person is 90 lbs. Excess baggage will be charged $1.50 per lb. subject to space available.
• Rates do not include food or beverages and are in US funds.
